  Silver Didrachm Boy on Dolphin

      Circa 281-228 B.C. 
 
 weight: 6.45 grams.  
This high grade coin is well centered and has received the NGC grade of AU (Almost Uncirculated). 

Excellent strike (NGC strike 4 of 5) and outstanding surfaces (NGC 5 of 5).  This famous coin features Taras on a Dolphin on the reverse side.  The obverse side depicts a horseman crowning a horse.  An especially nice example of this coin, with lots of original mint luster.
