Portrait of Alexander the Great right, wearing horn of Ammon.
Athena enthroned left, holding Nike and resting left arm on shield; on right, BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ; on left, ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ. Struck under the rule of king Lysimachos. This is the first coin struck with the true portrait of Alexander (silver coins issued during Alexander's lifetime had a portarit of Hercules).
 
This high grade coin is well centered and has been graded by NGC as AU (Almost Uncirculated).  Boldly struck (NGC strike 5 of 5) in very high relief with outstanding surfaces (NGC 5 of 5).  Uncommon grade for this coin; very scarce this nice!
